Release time:2017-10-02

Key Laboratory for the Physics and Chemistry of Nanodevices was founded in 2003 mainly based on the Institute of Physical Electronics and several key members from College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering. Currently, the Laboratory has 31 faculty members including 11 full professors and 13 associated professors. Among them, there are 1 CAS member, 3 Changjiang Professors, 4 winners of Distinguished Young Scholars of NSFC, 2 winners of Excellent Young Scholars of NSFC, 1 recipient of National Thousand Talents Plan, 2 recipients of National Thousand Talents Plan for Distinguished Young Scholars and 3 PI of State Major Research Plan Funding for Basic Research. The faculties received numerous awards, especially, three State National Science Awards (2nd Prize) in 2008, 2010 and 2016, respectively.

Research in the Laboratory is directed towards understanding the fundamental physics and chemistry, and solving the key issues of nanodevices. Major research areas include:

(1) Fabrication, characterization and simulation of nanomaterials and nanodevices

(2) Carbon-based nano-electronic devices and integrated circuits

(3) Novel quantum nano-devices,

(4) Molecular electronic devices

(5) Nano optoelectronic devices and solar cells
