Wang, Jingyun got her Dr. degree in condensed matter physics in the Institute of Physics, the Chinese Academy of physics in 1999. Then she worked for 2 years as a special researcher hired by the Japan Society for the Promotion (JSPS) in the Institute of materials, Tohoku University Japan 2000. In 2002, Dr. Wang became an associate professor in the department of electronics, the school of information science and technology, Peking University.

So far, Dr. Wang have published over 50 SCI papers, including papers with the impact factor (IF) above 12, such as Advanced Materials. The total SCI citation times near 300. She has the 3 national invention paten.

The research areas include:

1)Electron diffraction and high resolution electron microscopy in modern micro structure and growth mechanism of low dimensional materials. She was also one of the earliest researchers in situ manipulation, modification and characterization of nanomaterials in TEM. in situ manipulation and in situ conductivity measurement method, combining the structure and physical properties of the material microstructure analysis. She and cooperators developed the special methods of in situ processing, manipulation.

2) Controllable synthesis of low dimensional III-V materials for semiconductor and opto-electronic devices. She and her cooperators demonstrate that the morphology and crystal structure of InAs low dimensional materials can be well controlled in a CVD furnace.
