Zhou, Jin is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and technology, School of EECS. He obtained his B.Sc. from University of Science and Technology of China in 1996, and Ph.D. from Peking University in 2002 respectively. His research interests include wide band semiconductor, UV detectors and RTD, Ultraviolet and quantum well Infrared detectors, based on wide band gap materials and general technology.

Dr. Zhou has published many research papers. He carried out solar cell research plan in France supported by the China-France Foundation in 2008-2009. He was a reviewer of  Journal of Semiconductor and Journal of Infrared and Microwave.

Dr. Zhou has more interesting in Art, Science and Technology. His research are summarized as follows:

1)  UV Detectors based on GaN semiconductor were fabricated and characterized

2)  QWIP device based on AlGaN/GaN was explored for wide application in many areas.

3)  General Technology was summarized in one book according to the direction of ideals of Smith Division and Schumpeterian innovation, based on Newtonian mechanics and quantum mechanics.
