Zhang, Wei is a associate professor in the Department of Information Science and technology, School of IMNE since 2013. He obtained his B.Sc. from Harbin Engineering University in 1997, and Ph.D. from Peking University in 2003 respectively. His research interests include MEMS design、fabrication、application and standardization.

Dr. Zhang has published more than 20 research papers, obtained more than 20 invention patents. He is serving as a convener of International Electric Committee(IEC) TC47/WG7、SC47F/WG3 respectively, is also a member of National MEMS Standardization Committee(TC336)、National Inertial Measurement Technique Committee(MTC22).

Dr. Zhang has more than ten research projects including Defense、863 programs, etc. His research achievements are summarized as follows:

1)  MEMS design and fabrication techniques: One major research topic in this field is to make the device work in harsh environment , such as huge impact up to 10000g.. He proposed some new design and fabrication methods to ensure these devices keep good performance under harsh environment.

2)  MEMS productization: This is the key factor to MEMS application. He focused on the details and relationships from the whole chain of MEMS productization including design、fabrication、package、testing and interface to system. Proposed solutions for some MEMS products such as accelerometer、inertial switch, etc.

3)  MEMS standerdazation: As a convener of IEC TC47 and member of TC336、MTC22，he has written two international standards and five national standards.
